The Tri-State Outdoor Festival will be held in St. Charles, MN at the Winona County Fairgrounds July 31-Aug 2. This is an event tailored for family fun in the outdoors. The Tri-State Outdoor Festival is the perfect place to try out new products or introduce your kids to a new outdoor sport.

The "Hands On" portion of our festival is what makes us different from most expos. There really is nothing like seeing acres of people casting, shooting, climbing, and riding. We encourage all comers to the event to please bring a kid along for the experience. Much of this event is tailored to kids and their introduction or enhancement of the outdoor experience.

Over 200 vendors will be on hand to showcase and sell products, making this festival a great place to compare products and prices of all outdoor related equipment. Please check out our "VENDORS" page for updated vendors at the Tri-State Outdoor Festival.

2009 Highlights
Official Measurers: Bring in any mount or shed to have it measured for free at the Tri-State Outdoor Festival!

Bring your Bow to shoot 3D popup!!

Adult Archery Shoot: BE PART OF THE NEW SHOOTING REVOLUTION - Pop-up 3-D archery is a fast paced fun event designed to simulate hunting situations. It is exciting to watch and even more exciting to shoot!

The Long Range Air Gun Shoot: Long range marksmanship with an air gun?!?!? Who would have thought this was even possible! Shoot at four steel silhouette targets that are placed between 40 to 100 yards from the shooters.

BB Gun Speed Shoot: Kids love this competition and adults revert to their childhood free-for-all-days. Shot in head to head format, shooters equipped with BB Guns are paired off and attempt to knock down five metal targets faster than their rival. The lever-action shooting is fast and furious.

Handgun Speed Shoot (airgun): This game is conducted as a man against man match utilizing speed plate targets. From 10 yards away, you fire from left and right positions containing one stationary time stop-plate and four knock down plates. Maximum of 6 shots per target with no time limit.

Kids BB Gun & Sling Shot Shoot:
Let your kid hone his or her skill with lever action BB guns and sling shots.

Skeet Shooting Simulation: Enjoy skeet shooting at the Tri-State Outdoor Festival with authentic but deactivated 12-guage shotguns. The guns fire back an infra red beam at the reflective reusable clays - there's a realistic shotgun bang - hits are indicated by the sound of breaking clay and points appear on the digital scoreboard.

Trout Pond: The Tri-State Outdoor Festival also features a "trout pond" with live trout exceeding 20” where anglers of all ages can test their angling skill. Each angler has 10 minutes to tangle with the wary trout that lurk below. All fishing tackle and equipment is provided.

Climbing Wall: Our 360 degree freestanding climbing tower provides 4 distinct climbing stations - optimal terrain for numerous climbers to participate at once. With our instructors' guidance, the only prerequisite for getting to the top is the desire to have fun.

Obstacle course for fly casters: Test your casting abilities on a nine station casting course full of challenges! The object of the game is to get the fly in the ring in the least number of casts. Begin at station #1, proceed to station #2 then #3, and so on until you’ve cast at all nine stations. To score, add 1 demerit for each unsuccessful cast. Remember the object of the game is to have fun!

Tomahawk Throw:
Another heads up competition event. Two competitors pace off 4/5 steps and overhand throw at a playing card. Closest to the card wins – best two out of three It’s great competition for people of all ages, and was a huge hit at the 2008 Festival.

Kicking bear Archery:
Join Ray Howell in making our kid's lives better through involvement in the outdoors. Introduce your kid to archery and other shooting sports, or enhance their current skills through hands on training and shooting. Your kids might just have a little fun along the way!

Fishing Tree: The Fishing Tree teaches children the basics of 'How to Fish'.  The fishing program at the festival will focus on casting to casting mats. Last year this was the most unique setup at the Festival. Ranger Boats actually cut off the front end of a real boat for them to use on one of their casting mats!

Make sure you come out to see us at the Tri-State Outdoor Festival July 31-Aug 2 in St Charles, MN. It is bound to be inexpensive fun for the entire family!
